I finished reading Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown. It was a good story with lots of neat little twists and puzzles. I enjoyed it very much and I'm looking forward to reading more of this author.

Other's have called this a prequel to Da Vinci Code but other than the main character being the same there is no continuity between the two books and in fact there are some contradictory elements between the two story-lines.

I'll admit -- it's fairly gripping like the others, if you can get past a few things.

It was his first published book, I believe. The editing is a little lax, and the grasp of technology is probably right on par with the mainstream. That is to say, not so strong.

But I still say read it -- even if you don't like it, you will laugh.
To wit:

"X-eleven filters are corroding!!!!! FTP is failing!!! Hackers are circling like EFF sharks!!! A worm is eating the access filters!!!"
